This is a list of hotels in Mauritius in alphabetical order. In the past the star ratings of hotels were determined by themselves, on 12 April 2012, the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority(MTPA) announced a new classification based on international standard.

Indigenous materials were used as much as possible to capture the spirit of the island and to provide an environmentally friendly approach. Sugar cane thatch covers the roofs; volcanic boulders have been put into the walls of the gardens which boast tropical plants and shrubs.
All the rooms and villas overlook the azure lagoon. They are very airy and spacious and furnished in unique and precious style. The large bathrooms have a vanity counter, a sunken bath and a separate shower. All bathrooms overlook private tropical gardens. The villas have their own private courtyards and an elevated dining pavilion with a great view on the Indian Ocean.
